more ukrainians will die and more ukrainian territories will end up in russian hands. the ukrainian army is useless. its peak condition has long passed. most of the more-motivated troops got wiped out in senseless meat wave attacks in places like bakhmut and robotyne. now kharkov direction as well (thank syrsky "the butcher" for that...)
all that's left are poorly trained and poorly motivated soldiers. most of them are simply kidnapped from the streets and forced into trenches. can't win with an army like that can ya? the best you can hope for is to slow the russian advance. but this is a tactic that will lead ukraine to failure and a complete loss on the battlefield. it will run out of men long before russia will.
