There also those who only see black and white/good and bad. truth and lies
or "you are with me or against me" with no graduations in between .
Call it "on the spectrum" extremism , cognitive impairment or binary;
its alienating and leads to conflict of the " we-them" syndrome.

This is typical of RW Populists.

This syndrome is playing out on this Ukrainian War thread where
some simply can't accept that others can see both sides of this war
and that in doing so is perceived as backing/barracking for one side or the
other rather than being neutral.

This "Moral Absolutism" is in conflict with our Multicultural society which
in order to engender cohesion rather than conflict tends to favour multi-values
(Moral Relativism) rather than "Uniculturalism" inherited from our colonial past

So in summary re this war:

IMO in order to find a resolution both parties will have to sit down
with their supporters (puppeteers) and simply put their cases on the table
and simply recognise each others' differences and then respectfully
seek mutually acceptable compromises ...otherwise it simply more war

And of course to reject compromise for the sake of peace is simply
falling into the binary trap referred to above.
