But according to anyone who support Russian, Russia doesn't want the land. They have plenty of their own.
So why would Russia stop this was even if it took the oblasts they want?

Sure even those oblasts aren't a big enough buffer zone between the west & Russia.

I still say that PooTin is trying to rebuild the USSR. He sees Ukraine as Russian owned. He will want to wipe out all history & Ukrainian language.

PooTin is still living in the past.
