the thing is, the whole russia vs youtube thing is not about russian-side censorship.

youtube has been deleting hundreds of russian channels. not all of them are political either. but many of them expressed views, opinions or referenced sources that yt considers as pro russian. yt has totally demonitized most (if not all) russian content creators (including those whose content has nothing to do with politics). this blanke measure is fascist in nature.

on the flipside, yt cultivates russophobia and doesnt touch content that can only be labelled as anti russian hate.

yt has systematically ignored russian government's requests to take down content that breaches the laws of the russian federation. yt has an office in russia, so it must comply with all the local laws of whatever country they operate in.

russia didnt really initiate these censorship games. youtube did.
