"IMO in order to find a resolution both parties will have to sit down
with their supporters (puppeteers) and simply put their cases on the table
and simply recognise each others' differences and then respectfully
seek mutually acceptable compromises ...otherwise it simply more war"
Spot on moorookamick.
And the likelihood of that sort of resolution is almost zero because:
1. Russia is in the box seat to continue winning on the battlefield and taking more territory, and so dictate surrender terms. If Ukraine/puppeteers don't surrender Russia will keep destroying Ukrainians and their infrastructure.
2. Russia can't trust the puppeteers due to their history of breaking agreements with Russia.
Therefore the main chance for a lasting peace is for Russia to completely annihilate Ukraine.
The quickest way to a ceasefire would be a total collapse of Ukraine on the battlefield which would likely lead to a frozen conflict but not an end to the war - like happened with N Korea v South Korea.
