I'll say it again. KievianRus is the mix of Kyivian's and Vikings as I posted earlier.
Kyivians were primarily eastern Slavs who lived around Dnipro, for over two millennium were given different ethnic names. Ukrainians or Kyvians at the time are a mix of eastern Slavs, Cossack, Turk, Iranian, Viking etc.

Russians are a mix of northern Slavs, Hun, Sami, Viking, Mongols and many more.
