Ukraine's National Debt is Increasing at an Average Rate of Over $1 Billion per Month

The Ukrainian Ministry of Finance has announced some concerning news: "In June, Ukraine's national debt increased by another $1.16 billion. Overall, since the beginning of the year, the national debt has risen by $6.84 billion."

This growth is occurring amid an increase in long-term concessional financing from international partners. A significant portion of Ukraine's debt consists of loans obtained from international financial institutions and the governments of other countries.

As of June 30, 2024, Ukraine's national debt stood at 6 trillion 168 billion UAH (approximately $152.16 billion).
