In order to have a peaceful world going forward all countries...

In order to have a peaceful world going forward all countries and in particular
the Great Powers will have to learn to live within their own skin and, IMO, that
applies equally to US, China & Russia.

This war has qualified the China/Russia alliance in that they both have a common
enemy in the USA who has been the Global Power since 1991.

Otherwise , short of WW3, it will be another stressful Cold War with both sides dicing
with the prospect of an all out Nuke War. Even Blind Freddy can see that a blunder
by either sides(& I mean Russia or the USA) in this war such as the use of long range missiles
or tactical Nukes could trigger WW3 within minutes. That's why the Doomsday Clock now
is at its closest ever to Midnight!

So in self interest alone, the sane and sensible position to take on this war is
ceasefire/negotiated settlement...not an escalation
