From 9% to 32% in the space of 12 months is a quite dramatic shift in sentiment. The fact that Z is bringing into an equation a referendum regarding a potential ceding of territory is a clear sign that he is preparing the population for a not so positive news while he is handballing the responsibility for his part in this catastrophe.
Ukrainian Support for Ceding Territory Surges
However, the latest survey by the KIIS, which has conducted polling about Ukrainians' attitudes to Putin's full-scale invasion since May 2022, suggested a shift in opinion.
The poll found that 32 percent of Ukrainians said they would accept ceding territory to "achieve peace and preserve independence," compared to 26 percent in February this year. It was 9 percent in February 2023.
