    That probably was true... Crimea was largely yielded to the Russians to avoid a full blown conflict between Russia and Europe.

    Unfortunately, Putin kept taking further fascist steps and here we are today, where Ukraine is fight for its sovereignty.

    Navalny was a very useful Russian, glad you are quoting him... ( itink you sued to call him a CIA agent, funny)

    Navalny has also condemned the manner in which Crimea was annexed, calling it a violation of international law.

    He has advocated for a new and fair referendum to be held under international supervision as a potential way to resolve the status of Crimea.In summary, while Navalny does not outright endorse the annexation of Crimea, he recognizes the complex reality on the ground and has called for a fair and legal process to determine the peninsula's future.

    The world at large did work within that complexity, until Putin increased his invasion front.
