    Ukranian soldiers knew Crimea was Russian, and that’s why they did not oppose the Russian forces. Thousands of  the Ukrainian soldiers joined their brothers. Is that the insurgence you are referring to lol! The government of Ukraine returned the Crimea to Russia.
