he may want that as much as he likes the fool has pulled his own fangs by using up all his stockpiles , losing his valuable western gas trade , killing so many of his young men and harming his countries economy .
A decade before russia can recover and if putin can survive that long he will be quite old .

NATO is larger and stronger and the Suwalki gap has lost it's significance and russia lost control of the Baltic Sea .

putin has shot his bolt in Ukraine ,(apologies for mixed metaphors) , and has failed miserably in his lofty ambitions .
putin set out for russian glory but caused the demise of russia as a strong military power .

at least that is something to celebrate from this wretched war .
