You forgot to mention the bits about what Professor Donald Cameron Watt said, Author of "How War Came"...widely seen as a definitive account of the 12 months preceding the outbreak of WW2.
He said "There was no mention of any of this in any of the three contemporaneous diaries, 2 British and one French..including that of Drax"...And I myself don't believe the Russians were serious."
Of course this all allegedly occurred on the 15th August 1939. You don't think the UK, French and others might have been distracted and had their attention focussed elsewhere a couple of weeks later with subsequent events ?
You just need to believe your carefully curated quote don't you.
