As per the great Sun Tzu ....and unlike russia ......Ukraine have taken ground quickly and at low casualty cost

if putin wants it back he will need more meatwave attacks on entrenched positions and something like 3 :1 numbers to be effective in the advance .....which will need to be drawn from somewhere else in the battlefield

not quite a disaster but a big setback for russia in this war ......but as much as anything , very heartening for Ukrainians and their allies .....and very disheartening for russian troops and citizens

makes it harder for trump and his allies in the US who are already majority supporting aid to Ukraine ....which is why the reps in congress folded on the aid bill
