nah .....there was no mistake ever made by Ukraine ......there was no obligation to pander to putin as you pretend there was

they were simply exercising their right to be independant and putin didn't accept that ......he has said many times about getting back what belonged to russia and Ukrainians were really just russians etc etc

...and the annexation is the natural result of that

you try and concoct dishonest excuses for putin attempting to revive the russ empire

this war was a means to that end and was MEANT to be really quick (nearly was - nearly - not quite though) ....... a fait accompli before anyone could do anything about it ......putin calculated Germany needed his gas and Europe would do nothing as happened after 2014
putin miscalculated and this long war resulted from that miscalculation by him

so there it is .....painfully obvious to anyone that doesn't seek to blame Ukraine for russ aggresssion to achieve (FURTHER) coquest in Ukraine

stop bending over bnackwards to excuse naked aggression and empire building - both proven fact and not my opinion
rule of law and enforcement of it is what prevents wars
if putin succeeds here it won't be his last war
