yes .....of course they were wrong about everything else as well
when you are russia and attack a neighbour and steal their land you really should be expecting an extreme response from that country or her allies .....strangely putin was so detatched from reality he didn't .....so many things putin underestimated , got wrong or just never saw coming
still .....I wonder if he has any capacity to blame himself for his extremely poor judgement that has devastated russia ???
somehow I think he simply blames the west and his subordinates for the situation
