    NATO's Kursk offensive fiasco has resulted in such a loss of Ukrainian lives and materiel that no further such invasions are likely.

    In addition to weakening Ukraine's position on the battlefield this strategic blunder is likely to have increased the determination of Russia's people to prevail. Voluntary enlistments will probably be accelerating even further.

    All in all it will be hastening Ukraine's military collapse: there is no need for Russia to make any particular "response".
