Your "Russia wants to steal land" mantra is childish/ridiculous
to say the least because Russia is the biggest country in the world
by land area where most of its own land is not developed and
that Russia has a modest 140 million population

If your claim was valid; that is that Russia only wants "to steal land"
then surely Belarus would be a much easier target not to mention
Mongolia and Kazakstan, all of whom have massive borders with Russia.

Of course the real reason for Russia invading the Ukraine is to deem
it unacceptable to both NATO and the EC as a member in the same way
that border disputes by Moldova & Georgia precludes NATO & EU
membership for both countries.

So forget the propaganda and be a Geopolitical Realist.

This war has been going on since 2014 when it became evident
that the Ukraine was intent on joining NATO. That was officially
confirmed by the Ukrainian Referendum of 2019 and at the same
time confirmed by the current Ukrainian Government.

Due to Covid and Russian military logistics it took 2 years for
Russia to amass troops on the Ukrainian border and another year
to attack.

We may not like it, but as Ned Kelly said.."such is life"
