I agree.
IMO the USA has 2 missions:
(a) to be the America's (North & South) Hedgemon
(b) to prevent the rise of other regional hedgemons
whether that be in Europe, Middle East or Asia
and its wars since WW2 seem to support that

Unfortunately, this war & the Israeli war has taken focus off China
which no doubt would like to see the US stretched to its limits
(financially and militarily)in both wars for as long as possible
but without it expanding to negatively impact Chinese trade.

China via its manufacturing muscle is advancing in leaps and bounds
in military hardware and software and it is now completing the trifecta
(land, sea & space) at a rate of knots.

IMO many are waiting for the Chinese economic shoe to drop:
IE: that China dumps its. USD reserves and US Treasuries
knocking the ass out of the value of both. It is likely to do that
under the guise of further financing its BRI project now that its
economy is cooling .

To do so at once would likely result in a military response from the USA,
so its more probable than not that the Chinese will do a Keating on the USA;
IE "do them slowly"
