Hi Moorook,
I think people will argue the details of pre2014 till the cows come home.
The question for me is , who cares?
It has lost its relevance , things have moved on.
Do you think that the majority of people in the Ukraine wish to be absorbed by Russia, ruled by Putin ?I
f not , what right do you have in insisting that they acquiesce to Putin's desires?
If they wish to be part of the EU , or Nato , some historical claim of sovereignty by the Russians can hardly have any real moral authority.
Putin has made it pretty plain he wants the state of Ukraine and the separate Ukrainian culture extinguished.
Do you really think that is fair and reasonable?
As a person who grew up in our cosy little democracy , I know which country out of Russia and Ukraine I would pick to be part of .
How about you?
