America wants as many countries as possible dependent on it for critical supplies, good for the USD which is their prime focus.

Look at Europe, it had secure, cheap, reliable gas supplies that came from a non USA aligned country. Next minute the pipeline gets blown and who becomes the number one exporter of LNG in the world? The good old USA. If the dollar collapses so does their economy and so probably does ours.
