Indeed but I think at the beginning the strategy was that Ukraine would bog down the Russians in what would be essentially trench warfare because Ukraine has been digging their defenses since 2014 (like Avdivka and Niu York) but then the real weakening of Russia would come from weakening the economy and weakening Russia's reputation, which in turn, and with the help of CIA sleeper cells/NGOs, would spark internal unrest and eventually lead to the collapse of the Russian Govt. From there I think it's pretty clear they intended to install a USA puppet Government that would move full steam ahead towards the break up of Russia, as many NATO leaders have said they want (eg that warmongering lunatic Kaja Kallas). So much for the insidious NATO being a "Defensive Treaty".
