putin attacks grain handling infrstructure and grain store in Odesa and on the Danube ......Ukraine responds by removing the Black sea fleet from the Black Sea
etc etc

the west have tied one hand behind Ukraines back in respect of where and how the western supplied weapos are used .....putin has no such restriction

there are synergies between what is good for the west and what is good for Ukraine .....a lot of them .....but the interests of Ukraine are far from exctly matching the interests of the west
