....and the danger of nuclear use is not so much to the world as to Ukraine
if ....if ... russia were ever to do it , it would be tactical not strategic with more localised impact .
US has wisely , privately , advised russia of what their reaction would be to such a thing happening .....big negative consequences for russia ....(hopefully) the deterrent would be sufficient
the other thing is russia needs China .....I feel certain China wouldn't welcome this for a couple of reasons (which I can elaborate on if needed )
this isn't a simple siutuation and to try and make it appear so is naive
there is also more at stake than Ukraine and the short term
