You've conveniently skipped over or forgotten various elements already raised in our exchange and you were the one who raised the issue with the grossly oversimplified and inaccurate........the Soviet Union was the only country in Europe at the time willing to stand up to Hitler. All differences should have been put aside, and the British and French should have joined in.
As if to paint the British/French in a poor light when it was far more complicated than you presented but at least you apparently ? now agree it was highly likely, perhaps even almost certain ? that Stalin was having discussions with Hitler at the same time as he was with the Anglo/French team...the point I sought to make....along with pointing out your oversimplification/lack of rigour in your claim.
The timing of events certainly doesn't support your claim of it being a "common myth" as you assert does it ?
