The situation in the Kursk direction over the past 5 and 10 days.

• After the breakthrough in the first 2-3 days, the enemy’s advance slowed down and then practically stopped.
• As a result, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received a new front, on which they would have to spend already limited resources, in a place that does not have much military value. At this time, the Russian army continues to take important settlements in Donbass. Yesterday they took New York and it looks like Kirovo too (each had about 10 thousand people in 2014).
• The meaning of this event remains difficult to understand. Several villages in the border region, as well as advertising of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the west and raising the morale of their population, seem to be an inadequate exchange for heavy losses and retreat in the Pokrovsk and Toretsk area.
• And we have not yet seen our response. Last time, for attacks on oil refineries, their power generation was severely damaged. The response to the attacks on the Kursk region should be even more serious.
