    Speaking of 'acts of terror'...

German authorities are facing pressure that could force them to curtail their support for Ukraine.

The New York Times writes about this.

According to the publication, questions about support for Ukraine arise in connection with sharp disagreements in Germany over the budget and growing evidence that Kiev is behind the undermining of the Nord Stream pipeline.

The government will find itself in an awkward situation if the prosecutor general, following an investigation, accuses any of the Ukrainian officials of blowing up Nord Stream.

But the problems with the allocation of German aid to Ukraine are more specifically related to the 2025 budget, the newspaper writes. Finance Minister Christian Lindner has suggested that the government will freeze new military aid to Ukraine until budget resources are fully financed.

The government has already decided to cut funding for Ukraine in 2025 from €7.5 billion to €4 billion, arguing that the shortfall will be made up for by transferring to Ukraine the proceeds from frozen Russian assets located in Europe.
