1. NATO is a completely voluntary organisation ....why you imagine there should be some restriction on the PROTECTION it offers I find illogical

2.If that is because you give "SPECIAL RIGHTS" to russia to order their neighbours foreign policy I find that also illogicAL

3. If because you IMAGINE russia to be some "SUPERPOWER" ....they are not ....not economically , not militarily .....not that if they were should give them the slightest priveleges over other countries

what you work hard to ignore is putins expansionist agenda .... we see three NATO countries taking a diffeent line to the rest of NATO .....they have the freedom to do that in the west

further ,empires rise and fall ....and in the present day .....world powers rise and fall in terms of their influence
russia has been waning for a long time ......you don't insist that they be propped up ......whatever influence russia actuallly has should be what countries are willing to give it ....on merit .....not by conquest or by threat of conquest
