What does history teach us about wars?
Korean:
after much loss of life and property
the original status quo remains
Vietnam:
After 10 years of war, the US was defeated
leaving a wrecked country , millions killed or maimed
and a critically polluted countryside
Iraq:
US military left leaving a wrecked economy, 10s of thousands dead
or maimed and a "dogs dinner" political/social order
Afghanistan:
US defeated after 15 years leaving a wrecked country,
100s of thousands dead or maimed
Syria:
Work in progress but likely result to those above
Ukraine:
If history is any guide, then the outcome will
likely be similar to those above.
Summary,
Regardless of motives/ideology, war is evidently
the problem and not a civilised solution to international
conflict and the sooner that we all realise that, the better
world that we will have and the better prospects for humanity.
At present the US and Russia are playing "chicken" with
the spectre of a Nuke War and than is mad(MAD) and the sooner
that the average person realises that, the better.
The dicing with Nukes and the dicing with CO2 emissions/Climate Change
is evidence that the inmates are running the madhouse.
