and that is evidenced in our differences of opinion
on what motivated Russia too invade the Ukraine

that a red line was crossed (Russian perceived national security risk by NATO expansion in the Black Sea region)
when the Ukraine voted to ensrine NATO membership in its Constitution
in early 2019 which was later confirmed by the newly elected Parliament led by Z

What has the invasion/partial invasion of Georgia, Moldova and the Ukraine
by Russia have in common?

Do you really think that this is solely about (a) or (b) above.?

IMO all successful negotiated peace iniatives has to first
take on board the concerns of both antagonists...good, bad or indifferent..not just
the curated version of one side.

IMO this war will be settled by negation ( not on the battlefield)
and the agenda of achieving that will be the mutual acceptance
of both sides' national security interests .

Of course that should have happened in late 2013/early 2014
and its been tragedy for both sides in the interim.
