The Financial Times has published a scathing article criticizing Zelensky for his decision to send troops to advance near Kursk rather than defend Pokrovsk.

Since the start of the Kursk operation on August 6, the Russian offensive near Pokrovsk has accelerated, with many military positions being abandoned due to a lack of personnel and munitions for defense.

Currently, Russian forces are only 8 kilometers from Pokrovsk. In the past three weeks, they have swiftly captured over 20 settlements with minimal resistance.

Soldiers and officers report that they have never seen such rapid enemy advances: "Everything is collapsing so quickly. Pokrovsk will fall much faster than Bakhmut."

Ukraine has diverted reserves to Kursk, leaving less capacity to fill gaps elsewhere. "Some of the more experienced brigades have been replaced with newer, less experienced units," says Robert Lee from the American Institute for Foreign Policy Research.

What’s interesting now is that the West will undoubtedly place the blame for the failure on the Pokrovsk front squarely on Zelensky himself ‼️
