I know the history of Chechnya.
Unilrteral Declaration of Independence from the Russian Federation was unconstitutional action, which resulted in an armed conflict between Russia and separatists.
The same when Croatia declared a unilateral independence from Yugoslavia, which was unconstitutional and it resulted in a massive war.
The same goes for Kosovo .
The fact in all those scenarios is that separatist in each one of those countries declared a unilateral independence, which is unconstitutional and the government of every country mentioned did everything to stop it.
Chechnya was internationally recognized as a part of Russia back then as it is today. What is so hard to understand?
