yes !

How ?
1. Become a true democracy again ....autocracies don't do well for long economically !
2.. Remove corruption .....encourages the bright minds to stay and not leave which favours good leadership and good technology
3. Concentrate on technological excellence instead of military adventurism ....again , wars are expensive and technological development a much more rewarding investment in GDP .
4. reduce defense spending to 2%
5. Build alliances based on mutual respect .
6.Leverage off russias unique size and geography to trade with two continents by land

Putins "Peter the great speech" illustrates where his mind is ......three centuries behind where it should be for this era .

.....and putin either fails to understand or forgets that Peter the great BUILT and thorougly learnt and embraced the technologies of those times .......if putin is trying to impersonate Peter he has failed before he started by not understanding the man and WHY he was called GREAT !!!!
