IMO the USA lost the plot economically post Sept 11 by persueing protracted wars and misguided Neo-Liberal housing program which caused the GFC.
IMO its objective is to set Russia & China broke before it goes bankrupt itself:
PS : US GDP in 2023 was $27.4 Trillion, so its 2023 budget deficit in 2023 was $1.78 Trillion with the prospect of 2024 being $2 Trillion. So when the US promises financial aid to the Ukraine, Israel etc etc for as long as it takes, that that may be shorter than the US Pollies think, IMO.
