No shortage of people on this thread condoning and supporting Putin's war.
What's your problem with me? That I want to see Putin end his already failed war first and then that I support Ukraine in their choices to respond to Putin's war second? You disagree with that? The only person prolonging Putin's war is Putin. I don't see you condemning Putin for that. I'm not seeing any call from you that you agree that you'd like to see Putin end his war for peace. Your own words describe Putin's war as a failure and yet the onus is on Ukraine to accommodate that?
What do you think giving into Putin's blackmail is going to accomplish, that Ukraine surrenders for an agreement that Putin promises to behave and not invade more? There was the Budapest Memorandum. There was the Friendship treaty. There was Minsk 1 and 2. None of these agreements Putin honoured. But this time is different right? What's to stop Putin using nuclear blackmail to say he wants a chunk of Australia? You'd just give that up as well? Where does the nuclear blackmail stop?
The pro Kremlin junk propaganda line that Nato was some sort of threat is just that, Kremlin junk. Nato has been on Putin's doorstep for decades. Nato has never attacked Russia since it's inception. Ukraine has never attacked Russia. Ukraine in Nato was never going to attack Russia. If Nato was such a serious threat to Russia then Russia wouldn't withdraw 80% of their forces from Nato's Norwegian and Finnish borders to send them to die Ukraine. It's precisely the reason that Nato is no threat to attack Russia that allows Putin to leave his Nato borders undefended.
Ukrainians are the ones with the balls and ending it.
