Chechnya obtained independance after the first Chechen war ...so no , was not part of russia .....they did that on their own .....no insurgency by a foreign power as russia tried in Donbas .
russia oes have a long and consistant history of agggression for conquest ......which unlike almost all the rest of the world is ongoing at present .
There is no justification for russia stealing Ukrainian land and only four small c*ies that are beholden to russia recognise it ......the rest of the world China and India incl do NOT recognise russias annexation of Ukrainian teritory .
