I am pretty sure you are right. Although as I said I don't trust him any more than I would trust other leaders, especially in the West, I give credit where credit is due. Putin has been holding back a lot. He could have stormed Ukraine much like what the US did with Iraq. It would have been very easy for him given Russia is right next to Ukraine, a lot easier than the effort by the US on Iraq.
