Less Rating, More Peace

The worse the results for the ruling party in Germany, the more they talk about the need for peace.

The ruling Social Democratic Party of Germany has called for negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.

Rolf Mützenich, the head of the party's faction in the Bundestag, stated that an international contact group should be convened on this issue.

"The Federal Chancellor and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agree that now is the right moment to intensify efforts for peace negotiations, and that Russia should also be present at the next peace summit. I wholeheartedly welcome this. It also gives other countries the opportunity to play a more active role in ceasing hostilities. In my opinion, it's time for Western allies to initiate a contact group to kickstart this process. Such a group could include China, India, Turkey, and Brazil," Mützenich said in an interview with the Rheinische Post.
