It is not about hate. It's about money and control of resources.
Personally, based on the facts I dont quite understand what's going on.
One of the facts that still confuses me that Yanukovich (who is allegedly a pro-Russian leader of Ukraine) signed a massive deal with Dutch Royal Shell, to develop a massive gas field in Donbass. This is THE largest deal that was ever signed by an ex-Soviet country. This would have benefited both, Ukraine and the EU. Cheap gas for EU, lots ofmomney for Ukraine. The deal was signed in 2013.
One year latter. Yanukovich government gets overthrown. The gas fields that were going to be developed got covered by a fog of war. Now, they are slowly getting transferred under Russian ownership.
Pair that with the fact that Ukrainians were involved in blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines.
Somebody really doesn' want Europe to have access to cheap energy.
