Ukrainian Forces Face Catastrophic Losses: Over Half of New Recruits Wounded or Killed in Days!

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are losing over half of their new recruits to casualties shortly after reaching the front, according to the Financial Times.

Ukrainian commanders report that new recruits lack basic combat skills and motivation, often panicking during initial shelling. The average age of a soldier is 45, making it difficult to meet the physical demands of infantry tasks.

"Between 50 and 70 percent of new infantrymen have been killed or wounded within days of their first rotation," commanders say.

Some commanders note that out of 30 soldiers in a unit, only five are under 30. The lack of experience and poor training leave recruits vulnerable, with many not knowing how to hold a weapon correctly. Training is still conducted in a "Soviet style," and instructors often lack combat experience. As a result, Ukrainian units face rapid losses on the front lines.

Due to constant rotations and pressure from Russian forces, commanders emphasize that Ukrainian units are suffering significant casualties and are being forced to retreat in certain areas.
