Almost forgot about this. This was back in 2019, when all the Donetsk and Lugansk were asking for, was a special status (autonomy under Ukrainian flag).
A few hundred "nationalists" (the guys in the photo ), that look like some sort of a right-wing militia to me, considering the age, short-hair cuts and camouflage, prevented Zelensky's peace making attempt.

Even denounced by US-puppet Yatsenyuk, and by Poroshenko himself.

Ukrainian political course was decided by the far-right, shooting people and throwing grenades.
