New details about the defense of Ugledar have emerged.
Aerial reconnaissance officer from the 72nd Brigade, Nikolai Voroshnov, states that there was no order to withdraw: "Ugledar was doomed; it was impossible to save it. However, people could have been saved. But no order to retreat was given. Everyone in the city and around it understood that the countdown was on days, then hours, yet no withdrawal order ever came."
Given the motivations, it's clear whom to believe: him or the command of "Khortytsia."
