I have an idea where they were. Ukrainian-based map updates gives an idea. Also Ukraine MoD reports of locations. It is pretty safe to assume AFU would be located in the defensive lines that protect towards Pokrovsk, don't you think? Or would these be left for the Russians to take without a fight? Some sort of new genius plan? Also, the initial claim was yours, yet you seem to know zero about anything except that a pro-war/Kyiv said so. To me, it doesn't make sense that Russians would do this on the AFU side of the treeline (even assuming they had advanced that far at the time - maps suggest they hadn't or it was contested at best).
You really should look at the location and compare to where the fighting was taking place, and where AFU/Ru forces were located at the time. Unless of course it doesn't bother you that you may be trying to blame Russia for something that maybe AFU has done? Thinking about your history, I guess that isn't a concern for you.
