yes ....only fools can fail to see ....that russia is in decline , not just militarily , but economically , in manufacturing , technologically , demographicaly etc inall these ways russia has been going backwards over putins tenure .....lulled into a false sense of security by the oil and gas revenues ...a bit like dutch disease
this unrealistic desire for greatness by adventurism is part of that reason the corruption and the violence of russia encouraging the brain drain out of russia another reason and putins authoritarianism has scared others off with feArs for their safety if they bcame too popular or successful
authoritarian regimes do ot last well .....once person not being able to receive frank advice is a recipe for ultimate failure .....the choice of attacking Ukraine is a good example of that
putin is ruled by his emotional desire to recreate the soviet union complete with empire of subservient nations .....with him as it's Stalin .....just not going to happen !
