“No funds have been allocated from the city budget for the salaries or operation of these patrols, and no financial support is planned,” wrote Deputy Mayor Vitaliy Fedoriv in response to a local media inquiry.
In September, the mayor of Ivano-Frankovsk proposed the initiative to counter the increasing use of Russian in the city, but the plan has stalled due to a lack of funding.
