You need a primary level history book. Rus is not Russian doh, its Vikings, Roman/Greeks and Iranian's called them Rus, a name coming from a region in Sweden. When Russia became a state 600 years after Kyevian Rus, under Ivan the Terrible, they had no identity so they stole Rus and called them Russians..
