Is most of Europe truly “fine” without Russian gas? Perhaps we should ask Germany, considering the world's fourth-largest economy is now grappling with an economic crisis…
Here are the facts: The EU remains the largest consumer of Russian 'dirty' gas, accounting for 41% of its purchases. Countries like Hungary, Austria, and Slovakia are heavily dependent on Russian gas for survival. Meanwhile, nations such as France continue to procure Russian gas through alternative channels...
So… Europe is NOT “fine” without Russian gas and they will still purchase it, they will just pay a lot more for it… because sanctions are placed on Europeans not Russians….
