Ukraine wants to hold a second "peace summit" with the participation of Russia in December.

Ukraine's ambassador to Turkey told Reuters that the event is planned to take place by the end of the year. According to earlier reports from the Zelensky's Office, it will not be possible to hold it in November. This means Kiev is aiming for December.

Ambassador Vasily Bodnar ruled out the possibility of direct bilateral negotiations between Kiev and Moscow at this event.

"We're not talking here about a format in which Ukraine and Russia sit across from each other, and Ukraine listens to Russia's demands. The international community, together with Ukraine, will sit down and compile a list of steps that can be taken for a just peace in Ukraine, and they will discuss what demands to make of Russia based on that list. This will not be a direct bilateral meeting; it is more likely to take place in a format involving third parties, and negotiations will be conducted through intermediaries. We hope to hold this summit by the end of the year," Bodnar stated at a briefing in Ankara.

What the Ukrainian government wants to do, is present Russia with an ultimatum. An ultimatum that will be supported by the countries that are going to sign whatever document comes out of that summit.
Because this strategy worked so well the first time around.
