And don't you think the Russian citizen know this as well and that Putin is and has always been the aggressor since he got in power.....if Putin enters a war with NATO, this will be the catalyst for his own citizen to oust his government as he isn't just attacking a sovereign democratic country now but a NATO member also putting their life at risk and who is the attacker here????

Why do you think so many small sovereign democratic countries in Europe are NATO members and why young and educated Russian have migrated to these neighbouring countries and you do know Ukraine doesn't buy gas from Russia but the EU.
