Putin's demands and intricate details need to be watertight so that in the future NATO cannot repeat the Minsk style of feet-dragging double speak. In order for Ukraine not to be a threat and free from Western meddling, there needs to be a major political change in its system of governance and constitutional directives. Otherwise, the Donbas can face the same 2014 bombardment. I am wondering what the strategy is for not controlling Odessa with that Starmer 100-year deal of providing $3B yearly financial support. When Ukraine is land-locked, the NATO supply route is much more limited from the sea.
I am sure my thought bubble is already explored to death by the Putin camp and they have their objectives to mitigate future conflicts.
